Part-Time Event Staff
Events Staff are responsible for supporting venue operations during weddings and special events at Willow Creek Wedding & Event Venue. The Event Staff will provide timely and proactive support in areas including but not limited to traffic control, security, set-up and breakdown of event equipment, cleaning, and guest liaison. This position requires professional customer service, good communication skills, and a solid work ethic. The person hired for this position must feel comfortable interacting with clients, wedding planners, and other vendors.
The work schedule will be primarily Saturdays from either 9 AM – 3 PM or 4 PM – 11 PM. Hours may vary from event to event. Approximately 25 hours available per month during the season (June – October).
Duties & Responsibilities
Event Staff serve as greeter and parking attendant as directed, including greeting guests and vendors and providing clear and concise directions. Maintains clear and discrete presence at events, providing assistance as needed in areas of facility issues, directions needed, and point of contact for vendors/ event management. Works efficiently to set up or put away event equipment. Conducts thorough visual inspections before, during and after events. Identifies potential safety hazards or misuse of property in a prompt manner. Represents Willow Creek with integrity, respect for others, and in a professional manner.
Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time. Must be reliable and able to work Saturdays and some summer holidays. 2-3+ years of customer service or hospitality experience is preferred. A valid driver’s license is required. Professional appearance and demeanor and must be friendly and courteous at all times. Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
Work is performed indoors and outdoors with moderate exposure to outdoor temperatures. The working conditions will vary between moderately quiet to noisy volumes, and will include irregular hours on weekends and some occasional holidays.
